PrintCal IRL turns the dates in your phone into a printed calendar. This page explains what we collect to do that, who helps us, and the choices you have. We don't sell your information, and your dates, names and photos are never used for advertising.
What we collect
- Dates from your calendar and contacts, only when you tap Connect. We read event names and dates, and birthdays from your contacts, to find birthdays, anniversaries and other yearly dates. We also note simple signs that something is a meeting (such as how many people are invited, or a video-call link) so we can leave it out. We don’t read your notes, and we don’t keep who was invited.
- Dates and names you type or edit, and the design, holidays and settings you choose.
- Photos you add to your calendar, so they can be printed. In the iPhone app, faces are found on your phone to frame each photo nicely; photos aren’t sent anywhere for that.
- Order details: your email, the recipient’s name and shipping address, and what you ordered. Card details go straight to Stripe; we never see or store your card number.
- Account details, if you create an account: your email (we sign you in with a one-time code sent to it, or with Apple or Google; there’s no password), and the phone number, address and birthday you give us.
How we use it
- To build, preview, print and ship your calendar.
- To email you about your order: confirmation, shipping, cancellation and yearly-plan updates.
- To contact you about a problem with an order (that’s what the phone number is for).
- To keep your calendar so you can reorder or edit it next year.
- To make the date finder better at telling birthdays from everyday events.
Who helps us
We share only what each one needs to do its job:
- Supabase stores your account, calendars and photos.
- Apple and Google, only if you sign in with them: they confirm it’s you and share your name and email with us (Apple lets you hide your email).
- Vercel runs our website and app.
- Stripe handles payments.
- Prodigi, our print partner, receives your calendar’s print file and the shipping name and address.
- Resend sends our emails.
- Meta (Facebook), to see which of our ads work. On our website only (never in the app), and only for visitors in the US: Meta’s pixel notes the pages you visit, and when you order on the website we tell Meta a purchase happened, with your email and town scrambled (hashed) so it can be matched to an ad you saw. Meta never gets your dates, photos or what’s on your calendar. You can manage ad settings in your Facebook account.
- Anthropic (an AI company), only if you say yes when the app asks during Review: its AI, Claude, looks at the names and dates on your list to sort the ones we’re unsure about, and, when you tap Tidy my list, to fix messy names, spot repeats and reminders. It doesn’t see your photos, address or anything else, and it isn’t allowed to use them to train its models. You can turn this off anytime in Settings.
Your choices
- Calendar and contacts access is your choice. You can turn it off anytime in your iPhone’s Settings app.
- Leave off, edit or delete any date before you order.
- Delete a draft calendar from the Orders tab. Its dates, design and photos are removed.
- Delete your account in the app (Profile, then Delete my account). We keep order records we need for tax, payment and shipping questions, and remove the rest.
- To see or correct what we hold about you, or for anything else, email support@printcalirl.com.
How long we keep it
We keep your calendars and photos while you have an account, so reordering next year is easy. Order records, including a copy of the names and dates printed on each calendar, are kept for as long as the law requires. Drafts you delete, and accounts you delete, are removed from our systems, apart from those order records.
Children
PrintCal IRL is for adults. We don’t knowingly collect information from children under 13.
Changes and contact
If we change this policy, we’ll update the date at the top and tell you in the app if the change matters. Questions? Email support@printcalirl.com. WCB Consulting LLC, doing business as PrintCal IRL.
